Take the next step in your career this autumn at Careers Live – Nursing Times

Our next careers fair will take place later this month in Brighton, with further events to follow in Manchester, London and online
As summer turns to autumn, our programme of popular Nursing Times Careers Live events is set to begin again. We will be visiting the North, South and the capital over the next few months.
Our free careers fairs are all about helping you take the next step in your career and are designed to make it easy for you to meet potential new employers.
You will have the chance to talk to staff about working at their organisation, training and development opportunities, and what the local area is like. They may invite you to an interview on the spot and you could even walk away with a new job.
We also have a great speaker programme at each event, which is designed to inspire you, as well as offer practical advice for your next career move and achieving your future ideal role.
At Nursing Times Careers Live South in Brighton on 17 September we will be welcoming guests including Professor Deborah Sturdy, chief nurse for adult social care in England, and Zoe Fry director of The Outstanding Society Community Interest Company. They will talk about career opportunities in social care.
Meanwhile, our career spotlight panel features Tori Cooper, deputy director of nursing at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Julie Webb, Parkinson’s disease nurse specialist and non-medical prescribing lead at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, plus Squadron Leader Racheal Booth, a nursing service recruitment officer with the Royal Air Force.
As ever, we will be hosting a student reception to give you the opportunity to discuss placements, preceptorship and future careers. Our panel includes our 2022 Nursing Times student nurse of the year for learning disabilities, Jess Ball, and paediatric intensive care nurse Demie Risby.
We have also drawn up packed speaker agendas for our similar events in Manchester during October and London in November. Last but not least, in December, we will be hosting Nursing Times Careers onLine, a virtual version of our careers fair.
If that wasn’t enough, a host of prizes can be won by attending on the day and taking part in one of our draws. In addition, you can earn CPD hours by attending our speaker sessions, which can then be logged to contribute towards your revalidation.
