Distant Islands Allowance of £1,971 per annum (pro rata)

Working as part of the multi-disciplinary theatre team, you will assist and support the smooth running of the peri-operative service. Your duties will include participating with staff in the care of patients in undergoing a variety of surgical procedures including endoscopy, also operating, cleaning and maintaining equipment.

We are looking for individuals who are hard working and reliable, who can work well under pressure due to the fast paced and changeable nature of the theatre environment.

You will be motivated, have good interpersonal and team working skills and be able to plan and prioritise your workload. There will be an expectation that the post holder will be required to work independently at times. Experience of using computers/completion of documentation is also essential. Knowledge of infection control procedures and previous theatre practice is desirable but not essential. The ability to undertake an on-call commitment will be required. A competency based learning programme will be provided as part of induction and training for the post.
