Role: Young Adult Support Worker

Salary: £20,481.76 – £20,683 per annum (£9.16 – £9.25 per hour)

Location: Barton- Upon- Humber, Roxby, Dragonby or Wressle, North Lincolnshire

Hours: 43 hours per week, two week rolling rota.

Options Autism are recruiting Adult Support Workers for 4 Adult’s residential homes based in Roxby, Dragonby, Nr Scunthorpe, Broughton and Barton-Upon-Humber. All are CQC rated Outstanding and provide specialist residential care to adults with autism, complex needs or learning disabilities. We have excellent facilities for our residents which include beautiful gardens, café, sports hall and gym, a small animals farm and horticultural area, art and pottery rooms. A multimedia room with recording studio and more!

The Role

As a Support Worker within our residential home you will work directly with vulnerable adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and complex needs to provide them with the care, support and opportunities they need to be happy, healthy and to make their way in the world. Each day you will be supporting individuals to develop independent life skills, from personal care to daily routines. You will also have the freedom to make each day as fun and fulfilling as possible working with residents to enjoy and explore their hobbies from baking and arts and crafts to outdoor activities such as gardening, camping, and walking, plus taking them on fun days out and mini breaks away.

Your empathy and warmth are just what’s needed in this rewarding role, working as part of an incredible team of committed care workers to help adults with autism feel safe and secure as they build the skills they need for life.

You’ll be friendly, patient, kind and considerate as you help them learn, making sure they’re well looked after whenever they’re in our care. You’ll love giving them space to grow and thrive, playing your part in creating a nurturing environment in which they can fulfil their potential.

Great communication skills are essential, as you’ll be in close contact with those you care for on a daily basis. In this role, warm and welcoming smiles really matter!
